Weeyacom, which is a twist on the Arabic phrase weeyakum meaning “we are with you”, was founded on the principles of empathy, integrity, empowerment and innovation. These values permeate our approaches and our team culture as we seek to unpack complexity by co-designing monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) approaches both with our clients and with local inputs from the field. Weeyacom has demonstrated capabilities across USAID’s Program Cycle including monitoring data, catalyzing engagement with stakeholders, enabling learning, managing knowledge, conducting evaluations and implementing lessons learned to improve MEL capacity.

Weeyacom launched in 2018 to serve as a driving force behind the professionalization of MEL platforms. Weeyacom has significant experience working in partnership with USAID and DOD staff and stakeholders through the principles of curiosity, humility and empathy to create a collaborative environment where the right partners are engaged to create synergy, ask the difficult questions to uncover the underlying incentives of decision-making and use the data we gather to make more data-driven and adaptive decisions. Weeyacom intimately understands what government clients, contractors and stakeholders need and has developed a proven approach to help HQs, Project Managers, and U.S. government staff work collaboratively and effectively to ensure contract results and performance. Weeyacom’s past performance has focused on support to DOD, USAID missions, and formal training and mentoring of USAID implementing partners and MEL platform staff. Weeyacom specifically guides those dealing with the USAID Program Cycle on how to analyze data for decision making. 

Weeyacom takes a three-pronged approach, working with home offices, Chiefs of Party and USAID to ensure these programs, and future ones, succeed. We do this through tried and proven processes, understanding the best practices of the management of MEL platforms globally, and our vast network of top quality, best in class consultants. Weeyacom’s support helps mitigate risk in three ways 1) mentorship and executive coaching of MEL platform staff to understand client needs, 2) bridging technical components and simultaneous management of MEL platforms, and 3) delivering high quality products. Weeyacom intimately understands what USAID, COPs and their staff need, and has developed a proven approach to help HQs, COPs, and USAID Program Officers work collaboratively and effectively to ensure contract results and performance. This depth of political and cultural experience generates a compassionate sensitivity to changing operating environments, allowing for a flexible approach to unpredictable environments.
